- Examining shingles looking for missing, curled, cracked & more
- Reviewing gutters and make sure they are fully functional
- Examining fascia board for any damage or rot
- Surveying the condition of siding above the roof
- Looking at all sealants
- Examining pipe collars
- Checking for proper installation of metal stack
- Confirming presence of drip edge and make sure properly installed
- Surveying the attic for proper insulation, structural condition, moisture, exhaust vents & more
- Checking condition of heat tape if present
- Chimney cap inspection of fastners, sealant and ponding water
- Checking for a history of wind / ice damage
- Documenting history of leaking
